Bioplastic Sponge
A bioplastic dish washing sponge that can self decomposed after used. (Soap free!)
SPRING 2023
2 Months Project

This bioplastic sponge is made from gelatin, soap, glycerin, and water. First, the soap and water are used to create a foam bubble structure, then gelatin and glycerin are added to stabilize the structure. Once it dries, a bioplastic sponge is formed. The sponge softens with water and creates bubbles for dishwashing.
It is designed for people who seldom cook; it is a one-time-use sponge that, after a couple of uses, automatically decomposes and can be flushed down the drain.
